Coming on April 17th from Fireborn Publishing
Eighteen years earlier, Charma lost her destined soul mate. Convinced he must be dead, she’s kept her fears to herself so as not to destroy the morale of the Outsiders who already live with a shaky prophecy as their only guide.
Dr. Jason Randall is a man used to getting what he wants. There has never been a problem he couldn’t out-think or a situation he wasn’t capable of handling, until his life changes in ways he could never imagine.
Now they are being hunted by not one but two demons while they strive to lead the slowly growing group of Outsiders out of the darkness and back into the light. The two strong souls will have to decide if prophecy alone is enough reason to stay together through insane odds–or if love is their true fate.

This book was a gift from the author in exchange for a fair and honest review.
As this book opens we once again get a look at the past, at the pain of knowing the children must be hidden to be saved. Of the 18 only 3 made it to the destination, the others must be found. So far we have Leonardo, Charma, Kal the three who made it to Veli and Marina who was found early and rescued from an orphanage. Isabelle, Kal’s soul mate joins them in the first book Love Beyond Time.
Sebastian the evil one, born apart, has two of our outsiders, raised with him as brother and sister. Gabriel and Alexa have to see through him and come into their own, but the evil is manipulating them.
Our story resumes with Leonardo, Kal and Isabelle overseas looking for a book that explain what is to happen.
Marina and Charma are alone and Marina has located one possibly two other Outsiders. Not wanting to wait for the others to return she enlists Charma to travel with her to a Private Mental Institution in New Jersey..What transpires is not only dangerous, but the evil has doubled with the appearance of Sebastian’s sister.
The battles are intensive and psychological. Charma bears the brunt of these with both determination and anger. A favorite scene and not much of a spoiler is when she first sees the Outsider Marina has found. He is in what appears to be a coma.
This was all impossible. Perhaps this was some sort of hallucination? Maybe whatever made him comatose was catching?
No, she was not nuts. He was here. The nameless man—she’d never learned his name—who had been made for her, chosen for her in heaven, was in this room.
And, she had felt him die. Felt it the night he hadn’t come to their secret garden. It had been like someone had taken a sledge hammer and demolished half of her body and soul with one hit. She’d known he was dead.
Alone. That was how she’d felt. With other people’s problems filling her days, nights, and dreams.
Had he been this way since he’d disappeared when he was twelve? Charma’s eyes roamed his body for signs.
Impossible. He looked too healthy. Muscle tone defined his
body. He didn’t look like a man who had been endlessly asleep on a bed. His eyes fluttered as if he was in deep REM sleep.
She cleared her throat, afraid to wake him but wanting to at the same time. “Hello.”
Nothing. Charma’s cheeks warmed. Why had she assumed he’d respond to her? He was in a coma for goodness sake. She was going to have to do more than speak aloud to get his attention.
As the story unfolds there are many things that come to light yet so many unanswered. When our soul mates come together, it was not exactly the best time to indulge in seriously hot sex, but it worked and damn if Jason hasn’t met his match in Charma.
Rebecca my dear, it is a very good thing these books are coming out very close together or I would be hunting you down for answers.
The only thing I found a little disconcerting was the transition from the battle to home. I would have liked a bit more there.
I am loving the world and the characters and I am straining at the bit for the next installment.
4 1/2 Contented Purrs for you Rebecca!
As a teenager, I would hide in my room to read my favorite romance novels when I was supposed to be doing my homework. I hope, these days, that my parents think it was worth it.
I am the mother of three adorable boys and I am fortunate to be married to my best friend. I live in Austin Texas where I am determined to eat all the barbecue in town.
I am in love with science fiction, fantasy, and the paranormal and try to use all of these elements in my writing. I’ve been told I’m a little bloodthirsty so I hope that when you read my work you’ll enjoy the action packed ride that always ends in romance. I love to write series because I love to see characters develop over time and it always makes me happy to see my favorite characters make guest appearances in other books.
In my world anything is possible, anything can happen, and you should suspect that it will.
