Hotel Rendezvous – Book 1
Dalton Diaz
Welcome to the Menger Hotel. Where a Hotel Rendezvous isn’t always as it seems.
High School reunions are supposed to be about seeing how your classmates fared in the real world. For Jenn Bailey, it’s nothing more than good business for her beauty parlor.
Until it means her first love is coming back to town.
Eric Somers is a man on a mission. His biggest regret is not manning up after an embarrassing first time in the sack. Heading back to San Antonio for his ten-year reunion is the perfect opportunity to apologize…and maybe show Jenn Bailey he’d learned a thing or two between the sheets
This was a delightful tale of a reunion of a couple who had a not so great sexual encounter in high school. The initial meet up in the bar was a bit uncomfortable, both remembering the aftermath of their last meeting. Dinner is apologies filled with laughter and sexual innuendos. This is a favorite scene during dinner.Jenn fiddled with her wine glass, debating if she dared tell him what she was thinking. Screw it. That was the beauty of his living in another state. He’d be gone almost as quickly as she could embarrass herself. “I loved the way you kissed. If I’m being honest, you still hold the top spot in that department.”
****
The only thing that kept Eric from leaping across the table to prove he still deserved that honor was the arrival of the waiter with their tortilla soup appetizer. He took a couple of bites of soup and still had to clear his throat before speaking. “I think you’re still the best kisser for me, too.” making a statement.”She laughed again and damned if hearing that sound wasn’t becoming a need, too. He’d always enjoyed being with her, and that hadn’t changed. It wasn’t long before they both relaxed and got caught up on their daily lives with the easy flow of being old friends.
Makin’ It Right: Hotel Rendezvous Book 1 (Kindle Locations 178-187). Dalton Diaz. Kindle Edition.I giggled with them as they reminisced. Making up for the past can definitely lead to a sizzling night. A definite must read.5 Contented Purrs for Dalton!
Hmm. I have no idea why people want to know what makes me… me, but here it goes: My favorite hobby is reading, and I am a complete romance snob.
If a story doesn’t have romance, it isn’t worth it. If there’s hot sex, all the better.
Let’s face it, fantasy is usually a lot more fun than reality. Not always, but usually. As a writer, one can be anything, do anything, say anything that comes to mind. There are a thousand and one ways to make things happen, each one more exciting than the last.
Since I have a very active imagination, this is the best job in the world.
