Divorced mom Nikki Brady is about to kiss her play-by-the-book ways goodbye. When her best friends challenge her to buy a hot stranger at the bar a drink, she reluctantly agrees. To her surprise, the man is not only gorgeous, but makes her smile and feel long dormant emotions. Too bad she doesn’t know the out-of-towner is there to shake up her job at the retirement community.

To repair his estranged relationship with his father, Cole Myler must focus on a deal to relocate a retirement community. No problem, right? If only the sassy brunette at the bar didn’t turn out to be a human resources director dead set on thwarting him and delaying the project. Still, he’s determined to resist his scorching attraction to her and follow through with his plan. She plays dirty, but he plays to win. And if it’s up to him, she’ll be doing a whole lot more than working overtime.

Once again Carmen Falcone has heated my kindle from a low simmer to full on flames.

Pushed by a dare Nikki goes to speak to the handsome stranger at the bar, the results of which is some public smooching and her fleeing.

Cole didn’t expect to see the beautiful woman he kissed again. When she walks into the conference room of the nursing home, he realizes he just might have a problem.

Now Nikki’s grandmother is a resident of this facility and as an employee Nikki gets a nice discount allowing her to afford this. When she finds out the plans to move patients hours away she knows she has to do something.

Cole was fuming when he finds out Nikki’s plans to undermine him, this is his last chance to get on his father’s good side and keep what should be his.

Plenty of twists, turns, ups and downs as this tale unfolds, along with that simmer to flame I love.

5 Contented Purrs for Carmen!

Carmen Falcone

Carmen Falcone learned at an early age that fantasizing about fictional characters beat doing math homework any day. Brazilian by birth and traveler by nature, she moved to Central Texas after college and met her broody Swiss husband–living proof that opposites attract.

She found in writing her deepest passion and the best excuse to avoid the healthy lifestyle everyone keeps talking about. When she’s not lost in the world of romance, she enjoys spending time with her two kids, being walked by her three crazy pugs, reading, catching up with friends, and chatting with random people in the checkout line.

She loves to procrastinate, so please indulge her and drop her a line. For more info, visit her website.
