MacKenzie Harper did the impossible. She recovered her stolen mates and a host of wolves, taken, tortured, and turned by the mad Loup haunting them all. But in saving her mates and all the other wolves, she falls. As the last Omega, her loss would devastate more than just her mates.

Ranier, Preston, Jarret and Anton will move heaven and earth to save their mate. It’s been a long time since the brothers were allowed to live as wolves. Old instincts war with old habits and prickly personalities threaten to turn the swamp into an even more dangerous environment than it already is.

The time has come and they will have to dig deep to save not only their mate, but also all of their kind.

Mackenzie is gone, well not physically but mentally she’s somewhere else. Her need to heal loupes had attracted Ross Morgan who has tortured and led her to this state. She’s the last living omega and the only one who can save a loupe from the madness that claims them.

Her mates, Rainer, Preston, Jarett and Anton are at a loss. Mackenzie appears to be sleeping but her scent emits pain. They need to find Ross and do away with him to get her back. It’s Preston who comes up with a plan based on sightings of wolves, loupes have to shift on the full moon. Jarrett manages to reach into her mind and be with her and there’s someone else there who is surprised by his presence and forces him out. He does recall the dock and it becomes a focal point of the searches the pack is doing.

However it’s Donovan, the young wolf driving Rainer home from the jail that has one of the most valuable piece information. He recalled a ‘fairy tale’, his mother called ‘the Alpha Loupe’. If Ross is an Alpha gone loupe then the options of taking him change radically.

We see a lot of the conversations going on in Mackenzie’s head, she’s definitely got Ross’s number and refuses to give in. That she refuses him is a source of irritation to him. Jarrett flashes in and out, she sees him and that only adds to Ross’s annoyance.

Plenty of surprises in this one, they guys learn more about their special talents and Mackenzie learns more about her Omega side in a very unusual way.

A wonderful ending to this suspenseful, scary, and sexy trilogy. I’m kind of sorry to see it end, I love Mackenzie and her guys.
