This book opens with Edge making his way to join his crew at the Boardwalk, a popular bar with good bar food and live music. He is stopped by Dr. Tamara Blossom, she’d like to have a drink while waiting for a friend but Edge wants no part of it. He’s tired of her flirting and having to reject her over and over. There’s only one doctor that interests him and it’s not her.

Dr. Eloise Porter works the emergency room and at Tamara’s clinic. Student loans are rough for young doctors and Eloise is trying to pay them off as quickly as she can. While Edge is socializing, Eloise is working at the clinic. Her last patient was Tamara’s brother, once again looking for pain-killers. His injury doesn’t need them an over the counter anti-inflammatory will work fine. There’s no way Eloise would jeopardize her career falling for his ploy.

Eloise keeps telling Edge she doesn’t have time to get involved so he’s kind of in the friend zone. That is until a bomb comes too close for comfort.

Edge and Eloise get closer even as it becomes apparent she’s the target. She just can’t figure out why.

I’m currently enjoying the next phase of my life…the empty NESTER! My husband and I spend our winters in Jupiter, Florida and our summers in Rochester, NY.
