Essie and Aiden have both lost their families. Essie, her brother and Aiden his brother and parents in the same accident. Aiden’s brother was at fault but the dynamics of this loss is the core of this story.

Essie was left with nothing and was dependent on her brother’s best friend to get by until she got on her feet. Aiden inherited a multi-billion dollar corporation that he really didn’t want to be part of.

They both have different ways of handling their grief. While Essie plots revenge against all things Callahan, Aiden makes the business even more successful, in spite of his initial thought of selling everything and going back to what he loves.

When these two come together it is a battle of dominants. Sparks flying and hotter than hot.

I really don’t like being kept hanging for the rest of a story though. Now I have to wait impatiently for Book 2.
