Kindle Worlds is Closing! Here are some of my favorite worlds and Authors within them!

Kindle Worlds will be gone forever
July 16th 2018!

This deeply saddens me, I have found many new to me authors by seeing them in these worlds.

It was always a place to find quick, inexpensive reads that blended with another author’s characters and settings.

I have heard that some of the World owners are going to continue them on their own and some will need to have an acknowledgement of the originating series before republishing. Yet others may go away completely. For some worlds no decisions have made as to their fate, as this news just broke.

This is a response to a reader friend from Amazon:

For five years, Kindle Worlds has been thriving, engaging writers and readers who enjoy writing in one another’s worlds, and we’re proud of the work we’ve done together. While we are closing Kindle Worlds, Amazon is constantly innovating on behalf of our authors and readers, and we look forward to continuing to do so.

As of May 17th, Kindle Worlds will no longer be accepting new submissions. Previously published Kindle Worlds stories will no longer be available for sale on Amazon.com on or around July 16th. The Kindle Worlds website will be closed on August 29th.

Rest assured previously purchased or borrowed Kindle Worlds stories will remain unaffected.

With that in mind and since the time is short until they are gone, I wanted to share with you some of my favorite Worlds and Authors from them. I hope you will take the time to browse through these links and possibly enjoy them as much as I have.

I put the link I have for the main world and then covers that link to Amazon for individual authors within those worlds that I have read and enjoyed.

I would also like to thank the owners of the worlds that so many wonderful authors wanted to play in, Elle James, Susan Stoker, Paige Tyler, Desiree Holt, Sable Hunter, Millie Taiden, Carly Phillips, Robyn Peterman, Cat Johnson, Eliza Gayle, Erin Nicholas, and Roxanne St.Claire.

HAPPY READING!!!

One night. One party of a lifetime. One deadly secret that could end it all.

All hybrids must die.
Not your average alien visitor, Lucas Saar has lived on earth for years, and there is only one reason he relocated to the green planet, to hunt down hybrids. These half-Terran, half-Saarian men and women could expose the existence of his world and his people, something that must never happen. He’s never failed a mission until Alaska, a year before, and now he’s determined to get back in his leader’s good graces by taking down a woman he’s tracked halfway across the globe.

When he discovers his target has signed up for the same dating service he tried to use in Alaska, he decides to use it again as cover to get closer to his prey. After all, the archeologist isn’t hard to look at, and there is something about her he can’t resist. Too bad he has to kill her when the date is over.

No more dating within my profession.
Doctor Nadia Crane is in Egypt, guiding her final class through a dig. She’s had bad luck with men and worse with her health. After a recent physical, her physician has determined her cells are mutating and she could be dying. Nadia signs up for Madam Eve’s 1Night Stand service, in hopes she may experience one night of bliss before she dies. A prearranged evening might get her what she desires, except, Lucas Saar isn’t what she asked for on her application. He’s an archeologist, and exactly the kind of man she didn’t want to date. Worse, her gut is sending up all kinds of red flags.

Now Doctor Nadia Crane isn’t sure if she should jump him or dump him. Only one night will tell.

Lucas believes Nadia is a half breed. Half Saarien, Half Terran. He also senses she is about to come into the change, a condition that he cannot allow. That is his purpose here, to find and destroy the half breeds before they can cause a problem.

She is finishing up on a dig with her archeological students after which she is going to have medical testing done. The doctors have told her there are mutation in her cells and they need to find out what is causing them before whatever it is kills her.

Lucas has been watching her for weeks, waiting for his opportunity. He took the form of a sphinx in the dig area in order to keep his eye on everything around her.

What he doesn’t expect is to find she is a pure bred and his mate.

Now he has to convince her of the truth and also help her show her ex what he will never have again, the last part to fulfill a wish of hers.

The happenings that evolve part from Madame Eve and part from her ex make this not only a very hot sexy read but also one with danger and excitement.

A favorite scene is in the excerpt below, don’t forget to read it.

“What the hell are you getting at, Lucas?”“You’re not from Earth. You’re Saarian.”

“You’re crazy.”

“No, not crazy.” He let the color of his eyes shift from fiery topaz, to green, bright violet, and back to amber. “And you are one of us. More to the point….” He ran his hand up and down her arm. “Mine.” No, he’d never been one to leash his dominant nature. She’d have to learn to deal with it—courtship or not.

“Yours?”

“Mine.” He gave her a satisfied smile.

“You lied to me about being my replacement. Who the hell are you really?”

“Lucas Saar, a Saarian tracker, and you, Miss Crane, are my mate.”

“Huh.” Nadia took the opportunity to ram her knee into his testicles, and, like any other male with a package in the south, he dropped to the floor, completely incapacitated.
“Help!” She ran for the elevator.

Lucas lifted his head from the tile. Help? Was she fucking kidding? His eyes started to water, and even though she’d put him in a bad position and a great deal of pain, he couldn’t help but chuckle. Okay, so she’d thrown down the gauntlet. Nothing like a little pursuit to get the blood pumping. Let the hunt begin.

Winter Blog Review

Xan Davis feels the call of the Black Hills even stronger after he almost kills an innocent human during a PTSD black-out. Arriving at Gee’s even before he can eat or drink anything he is fighting off the invisible. He has one chance to get this right and she is more than he bargained for.

Xan tugged on the cuff securing his left wrist and then turned and tugged on the right. His bladder seemed damn near ready to burst. He couldn’t hold it much longer. “Woman!”

“The name is Liv.” Back in her seat, watching him as he slept? This time in flannel pajamas and fuzzy duck slippers. And she still looked like dynamite with a short fuse. Awoooo, get you some of that.

She sat up and yawned, stretching her arms over her head and exposing a sliver of pale skin on her belly, lickable bare flesh, and all alone. His mouth watered. Nothing better to do at oh dark ugly, Doc?

He watched her, soaking in her every detail, from the curve of her cheek to the sky blue of her eyes. Xan yanked hard on both cuffs at once. “I need to take a piss.”

She nodded, rose, and ducked out of the room, disappearing down the hall. As her footsteps faded, he yanked harder. “Did you hear me?” Moments later, while he contemplated whether he should pee the bed or not, she reappeared, holding an orange jug.

He eyed it. “Oh, hell no. I’m perfectly capable of taking a leak on my own.”

“Give me your word you won’t hurt yourself or anyone else and you can.”

“Lady, I’m not letting you hold my dick while I take a leak in a jug.” Xan growled low in his throat and stared her down, daring her to take a step toward him and try it.

“I can get Ryker to help you.”

“Oh, fuck no.” He yanked even harder on the restraints. “He’s not touching my dick. He’s likely to rip it off.”

“Stop behaving like an animal.”

“I am an animal.”

“No, you’re a shifter, and I find it interesting you haven’t changed to get out of those cuffs. Maybe, like Gee said, you can’t.”

“What? Who the fuck told the bear I can’t shift.” He arched, gaining nothing but growing a shade angrier. “Set me free. This isn’t right, and you know it.”

“Give me your word.”

He opened his mouth and snapped it shut. If he didn’t have to piss so bad, he wouldn’t even think about it. But he did, and he sure as hell wouldn’t let her take Mr. Happy out so he could finish the mission. His damned cock was already way too excited at the prospect. “Fine. Let me go.”

“What did you say? Are you agreeing to my terms? Will you hurt yourself or anyone else?”

“I just told you.”

“No, you only asked me to let you go. You didn’t make any promises. Say it. I, Xan Davis, will not hurt myself or anyone else.” She jiggled the piss jug before him. “Say it, or I’m reaching down the front of your pants.”

“I may not hurt myself or anyone else, but this promise doesn’t mean I don’t have other ways to make you pay for holding me hostage.” On her back. Against the wall. From behind. Doc would pay.

“On your Alpha’s orders. I don’t make a habit of keeping prisoners in my home.”

He growled. And she better not hold any other wolves in her home. Her Alpha’s orders or not.

“He’s not my Alpha,” Xan snarled.

“Are the Black Hills not your home and the Taos your pack?”

“Yes.”

“Then he’s your Alpha. Give me your word.”

“I, Xan Davis, will not hurt myself or anyone else. Now unlock these damn cuffs and point me to the bathroom.”

“Under one condition.”

“More? You’re shitting me?” He groaned.

“No, I’m not. Promise to stay with me until you’re better…in this house.”

He slowly scanned the room and frowned. “With all this pink?”

“What’s wrong with the pink?”

“It’s disturbing.”

“What’s disturbing is how you’re fighting the help we’re offering. A smart man would take it.”

“Whatever. I’ll do it. Even if your home-decorating choices could be considered acts against the Geneva Convention.”

Some might say this doesn’t have very auspicious beginnings, but believe me when I say this book gets hotter in more ways than one.

I absolutely love the Black Hills Wolves and this book is no exception.

Summer Blurb

Hide your girlfriends, hide your daughters.

Tad Dawson, confirmed bachelor and runway model, has come back to the Black Hills for his brother’s wedding. Also known as Romeo for his love them and leave them attitude, Tad has a reputation to lose and a woman to win. However, he won’t be able to do it on his own, since the woman he wants would rather assault him with nail guns, power saws and rocks. Not what he expected when he turned on the charm.

Megan could use a good dose of anger management, along with a shot from Cupid’s bow, and lord knows she has a lot to be mad about when it comes to Romeo. Tad left her five years before after she declared they were mates. Not only did she have to deal with a crazy Alpha, who got off on tossing her to the wolves, she’s heard rumors Tad’s appetite for anything with a skirt has grown since he left. Not that she could confirm it. He’s hasn’t called or written once.

For Tad to win the love of his life, he’s going to need some help, and the four pack matchmakers have decided they are just the Wolves to assist, whether he wants their help or not. No tactic is too dirty or underhanded. Bringing down Romeo is going to take every trick in their match-maker’s bag.

Bagging the girl, well, that could be a bit trickier.

Will the four matchmakers beat the nearly impossible odds, or will their tactics unravel at the seams?

Before the wedding is over, someone is going down, and if the matrons have any say, it’s going to be hard.

Summer My Review

Well the matrons are at it again, but this time it’s a little different.Tad aka Romeo left the Black Hills when Magnum was threatening to have him fixed because of his sleeping around with the she wolves. On the day he left Magnum had decided on a mate for Megan, she was only eighteen and had run to avoid the mating. Now she had to accept her fate or her family and friends would pay. She knew even then Tad was her mate, she had wanted a kiss from him so he would know too. It didn’t happen.

Now five years later he is back for his brother’s wedding, to a human no less. Something unheard of when Magnum was Alpha. He was scared that he would find Megan mated with pups and happy. Instead this was his reception from her.

He headed for the family Hummer he’d borrowed from the business in Hot Springs, since his car wouldn’t make the logging roads in—not without dropping the muffler.

Bang, bang, bang.

Tad turned toward the source of the noise and froze in his tracks. Not three buildings over, a slender woman in jeans and a green tank top held a pneumatic nail gun. She moved around, working on the deck of a partially framed building.

“Meg?”

She stopped and looked up, flipping her dark hair over one shoulder.
Tad changed course and headed for the new construction. “Hey.”

She turned and moved away to another section of the building.

Tad followed her around the side. “Megan? Is that you?”

She spun around, lifted her hand to shield her eyes from the sun, and stared at him. “Dawson?”

“Yeah. Don’t you recognize me, Meg?”

Pthunk, pthunk, pthunk, pthunk. Meg fired a series of nails.
Tad dove out of the way and rolled behind a shed. “Hey! Is that any way to say hello?”

Pthunk, pthunk, pthunk. They struck the side of his hiding place.

“Leave.”

“Whoa, what the hell did I do?” He sniffed. Yeah, that shower he’d skipped out on. Not good. Had she caught a whiff of the women who were hanging on him before he left? Could explain her hostility.

“You really have to ask?”

“Yes.”

“Go. Leave me alone, Tad Dawson. I don’t want you here.”

“You are such a liar, Meg.” He stepped out from behind the shed. “The last time we talked, you wanted me to kiss you, to prove I’m your mate—or has that tidbit slipped your memory?”

She picked up a cordless saw and started toward him. “Oh, I remember quite clearly.”

Tad eyed the shiny blade. “What do you think you’re going to do with that?”

She smiled. “Use your imagination.” She fired it up. The whirling blade screamed.

Tad backed away. “I’ll come back when you cool down.”

“I wouldn’t recommend it.” She glared at him.

Tad stalked to his truck. Why did everyone threaten to take his nuts off? He jumped in and slammed the door, watching the woman on the deck with the evil tool in her hands. She didn’t mean it. Did she?

Megan flipped him the bird.

Good probability. His wolf chuckled.

Who asked you?
Jackson, D.L.. Bringing Down Romeo (Black Hills Wolves #53) (Kindle Locations 303-324). Decadent Publishing. Kindle Edition.

Not exactly the best way to start a relationship. But don’t worry the Matrons have a plan. Besides his brother’s wedding, Tad pursues his mate. I laughed and cried and well I just love weddings.
