The stunning conclusion to the Bitten Point series.

Once upon a time a girl loved a boy, but married another man. What a mistake, especially since that man has been using her as part of his sick plot to experiment on shifters. And he’s got a plan to use their sons.

Over my dead body. But Melanie might need help keeping her boys safe.

Wes is keeping secrets, lots of them, but he doesn’t have a choice. The people he cares about are in danger and he’ll do anything to protect them, but that struggle intensifies when the girl he never stopped loving is drawn into danger.

Can this gator meet the challenge of not only freeing himself from the blackmailing grip of Bittech, but find a way to be with Melanie too?

Review Spring Blog - Copy

This book is a stunning ending to this series. As much as I hate to see it end.

With the destruction of one Bittech facility, Andrew has moved everyone who survived to a new higher security one. Before he takes up residence there he has one more thing to do, get his wife and children.

Melanie is livid, her only thought is to kill him. She doesn’t love him, she never did, but the shifter she loved broke her heart.

Wes left Melanie because of his bad blood. He didn’t want her tainted by his family’s reputation. Now he is drawn into a battle not only to keep Melanie and her boys safe but to save others as well.

This is a favorite scene after Mel escapes from her husband kind of with Wes’ help and her brother Daryl takes her to their mother’s.

Through the windshield, Melanie could see the aluminum door at the front hanging drunkenly, the thicker wooden one wide open. More terrifying of all was the sight of her mother wailing on the step, a hand held to her head, blood streaking through her fingers.

The hair on Melanie’s body hackled.

“Mama!” No sooner had the car skidded to a stop than both she and Daryl spilled out and ran to their mother. She couldn’t help but smell the lingering trace of something reptilian. Her heart raced a mile a minute, and she couldn’t stop a fluttery panic.

“What happened?” Daryl barked.

“I tried to stop it,” her mother wailed. “But the monster thing batted me aside as if I were nothing. Then he licked me.” A shudder went through her mother as she grimaced. “And I froze. I couldn’t move a muscle as that monster took the bambinos.”

“My boys? He took my boys?” Melanie’s voice pitched as the horror of what happened hit.

“I am so sorry. I couldn’t stop him. The lizard monster came and took them both.”

It took everything Melanie had not to shriek. But she couldn’t help grabbing her hair in two fists and pulling hard. She needed the pain to focus, anything to not think of what might happen to her precious babies.

Daryl knelt before their mother. “This creature, did he fly away with them? Run off? Do you know which way it went? Perhaps I can pick up its trail.”

A shake of her head and their mother explained. “I don’t think he did either. I heard an engine. Someone drove that thing here, and he took the bambinos.” Fresh tears and wails shook her mother’s body, and even though Melanie wanted to shake and curse and scream herself, instead, she wrapped the rotund body in her arms and rocked with her mothers. Tears streamed down her cheeks.

That bastard took my babies.

And she was going to get them back.

She just didn’t know how. No one did.
Gator’s Challenge (Bitten Point Book 4) (Kindle Locations 241-255). Kindle Edition.

Anger is the primary emotion for both Mel and Wes, more so when they find out the plans Andrew and Wes’ Uncle Parker have in store for them and the children.

A nail-biting read with lots of action to keep you turning the pages and scenes meant to melt the panties. A story that shows love, and the strength drawn from it, can indeed conquer all. I definitely got more than a few giggles out of the antics of the twins, and some conversations between Mel and Wes. But I got weepy too, love it when an author makes me cry.

A billionaire CEO and leader of the largest East Coast pride, Arik is a ladies man and a lion. Used to commanding others, and obedience, he can’t believe it when a hairdresser with tempting curves chops off a hunk of his precious mane.

But her biggest mistake is in running from him.

Run as fast as you can, little mouse, because this cat loves to chase—and pounce.

Oh, and he also likes to nibble on tender bits. What he doesn’t expect is to fall for a human woman, a woman who can make the impossible happen because everyone knows lions can’t purr…until now.

SummerBlog My Review

I love my shifters and this one is a hoot!

Arik is an egotistical, hot-headed, Alpha Lion, and his nemesis a feisty, sarcastic hairdresser named Kira.

Many of the alpha shifters I have read are arrogant to a point but Arik takes it to a whole new level. One of the funniest passages for me, not so much for Kira is in the first chapter.

Rejection was not something he encountered. Until now.

“Are you seriously having to ask why I won’t date you?” She sounded so incredulous. “Would you like me to recite the list alphabetically?”

Actually, he did. “Let’s hear it.”

Not even a pause. “Asshat. Braggart. Cocky tied with chauvinist. Dumbass. Egotistical. Do I really need to go on?”

A chuckle rumbled forth from him—again. What was it about this woman that delighted him? She kept arguing and defying him at every turn, and yet he couldn’t help but find her amusing. She utterly intrigued him, especially as he tried to guess what she’d say next. How refreshing to come across a female that wasn’t related to him, or impressed by him, who dared to treat him as a man.

One she considered beneath her standards.

“I think your list needs tweaking.” He launched a defense of his character.

“Oh really? And just how do you see yourself? I’m sure this will be good.”

“Let me see. Attractive, bold, courageous, daring, elegant, ferocious, especially as a lover,” he admitted with a wink. “Gallant.”

With a derisive snort, she interrupted. “Ha. I highly doubt that.”

“And yet you don’t really know me. My lady friends would tell you that I am a gentleman.” When it came to opening doors and picking up the check. Other than that, there was nothing gentle about him. Just ask those who crossed him.

Kings didn’t let anyone question their authority.

“I wouldn’t know, though, about this supposed gallantry, because I’m not your lady friend.”

“You could be.” He gave her another chance. She truly did draw him in with the roundness of her figure, hugged by faded denim and topped with a baggy sweatshirt that drooped enticingly off a shoulder, baring a black strap.

Lace or cotton? A feline mind wanted to know.

But apparently he wouldn’t know today, as she, yet again, managed to resist him.

“Date you? Not likely.”

Again words emerged from him without volition. “Why not?”

“Oh please. I’ve seen enough to know you’re not my type.”

Such a liar. Apparently he wasn’t the only one aroused by their repartee. The musky scent of her arousal tickled his senses. It made him bolder. “I guarantee when I’m between your thighs and you’re clawing my back, you’ll be screaming a different tune.”

So he might have come on a tad strong with that last statement. That was still no excuse for what happened next.

“Pig.” However it wasn’t the animal insult that was her most grievous crime. It was the gigantic hunk of hair she snipped off!

An irreplaceable, thick chunk of his hair permanently removed. Accidental or intentional, it didn’t matter.

Ack! My mane.My beautiful, precious mane.

He couldn’t help a low rumbling growl. His eyes glinted in the mirror, the gold catching the light and reflecting it, along with his fury.

“You. Did. Not. Just. Do. That.” And yes, he might have growled the last bit.

“Oops? Did I do that? Sorry.” Said with no repentance at all. With a smirk and a blown kiss, she let her crime rain down over him in a golden, threaded shower.

And then, she ran.

The chase was on! Kira is a strong woman, except when it comes to the reason she is working in her grandfather’s barbershop.  A secret she has no intention of sharing until it is sprawled all over her front door.

Arik while trying to deny the fact, she is his mate, gets a reluctant Kira to tell.  It is what she doesn’t know that could make or break the chance of happiness, hers and his.

Lively, fast paced read.  I loved the interactions with his pride especially his mother.  A couple of missed edits but overall a most enjoyable read!

Hello, my name is Eve and I am a Canadian author who loves to write hot romance, usually with shifters, cyborgs or aliens lol.
Be warned, I do have a twisted imagination and a sarcastic sense of humor something I like to let loose in my writing. I like strong alpha males, naked chests and shifters. Lots of shifters. In fact, you’ll notice most of my multi partner stories revolve around great, big, overprotective shifters who just want to please their woman. I am also extremely partial to aliens, you know the kind who like to abduct humans and then drive them insane…with pleasure of course.
I love to write, and while I don’t always know what my mind is going to come up with next, I can promise it will be fun, probably humorous and most of all romantic, because I love a happily ever after.
