I received a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
A sexy, bearded tattoo artist meets his match and the sparks fly!
Blurb:
On the wrong side of thirty, Austin Montgomery is ready to settle down. Unfortunately, his inked sleeves and scruffy beard isn’t the suave business appearance some women crave. Only finding a woman who can deal with his job, as a tattoo artist and owner of Montgomery Ink, his seven meddling siblings, and his own gruff attitude won’t be easy. Finding a man is the last thing on Sierra Elder’s mind. A recent transplant to Denver, her focus is on opening her own boutique. Wanting to cover up scars that run deeper than her flesh, she finds in Austin a man that truly gets to her–in more ways than one. Although wary, they embark on a slow, tempestuous burn of a relationship. When blasts from both their pasts intrude on their present, however, it will take more than a promise of what could be to keep them together.

My Review:
One of the things I absolutely love about the Montgomery Ink series, is that there is always more than one thing going on.
In this one, Austin and Sierra have many hurtles to overcome to continue there relationship, once it gets started that is. There are many everyday life experiences that are explored and some really surprising ones as well.
As Austin and Sierra get to know one another and Sierra faces her fears and her past as a very hot, very steamy relationship blossoms. Austin’s past makes a few appearances and many of the cast of characters, in my opinion, needed their asses kicked. I just don’t know what order….
It is also nice to see other characters from the novellas. Shep and Shea (Ink Inspired) come to Denver for a visit kinda.
We also meet Callie, Austin’s apprentice. Oh let me not forget the whole Montgomery Clan!
I couldn’t put this book down and in fact read it twice to be sure I got all the pertinent information before I reviewed it.
One of my favorite passages from the book and there were many I assure you, is right after Sierra meets Austin for the first time.
Seriously? That bearded mountain of a man thought he had the right to judge her? What right did he have to sneer at her and look down on her with those gorgeous blue eyes, and make her feel like she didn’t belong in his shop?
Wait.
Gorgeous blue eyes?
I laughed and cried and wanted to kick some ass in this one and totally needed a cold shower with the steamy sex scenes. I can’t wait for the next one in the series. Totally Hooked!
Five contented PURRS for this latest from Carrie Ann Ryan!
